Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Delight: Sparkling New Year's Eve Phyllo Cups


1 package of phyllo dough cups

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

1 cup smoked salmon, finely chopped

1 tablespoon capers, drained

Fresh dill for garnish


Preheat the Oven: Follow the instructions on the phyllo dough cup package for baking. Preheat the oven accordingly.

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Stir in the chopped chives.

Assemble the Cups: Place the phyllo dough cups on a baking sheet. Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture into each cup, creating a base layer.

Add Smoked Salmon: Top each cup with a generous pinch of chopped smoked salmon.

Garnish: Sprinkle capers over the salmon, and garnish each cup with a small sprig of fresh dill.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake according to the phyllo dough package instructions or until the edges are golden brown.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Arrange on a serving platter and watch these elegant and flavorful appetizers disappear as your guests ring in the New Year!
